Made to Order is exactly what it sounds like, you place an online order and I’ll get to work making it, just for you with YOU in mind.

It can take 2-4 weeks depending on the order size and time of year. But most orders go out in about 2 weeks and sometimes even faster if I just so happen to be making the items you’ve ordered at the time you placed it.
-
I’m glad you asked! All of my work is made with food-safe glazes and non-toxic materials. There’s absolutely no Lead in any of my glazes or clays.

All of my items are made to be dishwasher and microwave safe. Large items may require hand-washing due to size but will also survive the dishwasher. They’ve been fired well over 2000 degrees so a bit of hot water won’t hurt!

Meet the Maker
David Johnson is a Tennessee-based artist whose lifelong passion for clay began as a young child in Missouri, where he attentively painted glaze on ceramic figurines at a community studio with his mother. He formally pursued ceramics during his studies at Memphis College of Art, earning a BFA in 2003 and launching his creative journey across various studios—including time in Memphis, New York’s Supermud Studio and Brooklyn’s Brickhouse Ceramic Art Center, and renewed periods at Joseph Eckles Stoneware. In recent years, he has been working from his home studio in Collierville, TN (since 2023), continuing a practice that emphasizes hand-made, functional wares—ranging from mugs and bowls to vases, each characterized by thoughtful glazes and patterns.
